VASANTHAM PENGAL SANGAM

VASANTHAM PENGAL SANGAM shortly known as VPS is a voluntary service organisation registered under Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 1975. It holds 12AA, 80G, PAN Number, FCRA registration and Darpan registration and Guide Star registration. VPS is by the women, for the women and of the women. The members of the VPS belong to rural community and have good rapport with the community specifically children, youth; women, farmers and other peripheral workers. VPS is working for the poor communities to improve their socio-economic, cultural, education and health conditions. We are working in Manachanallur and Turaiyur blocks of Trichirappalli District of Tamilnadu. It is involving its volunteers in its developmental activities.

Women first international fund 2018 to current partner

Women and girl children are motivated to improve their dietary habits through growing and including nutritious greens and other vegetables in their diet. This will lead to their improved health and well being. 12 months selected 1000 poor families from 20 villages will have increased awareness and knowledge on ten different food groups and will consume a minimum of five food items from five food groups daily 12 months, 800 poor families living in 20 villages will have savings and additional income by increased home production and sale of surplus diverse, nutrient-dense foods like fruits and vegetables produced through organic kitchen gardening
