Food Processing and Marketing Training Programme Vasantham Pengal Sangam successfully conducted a Food Processing and Marketing Training Programme covering three villages, benefiting 50 women members. The training was led by Mr. Srinivasan, an experienced trainer, who provided practical knowledge on food processing techniques, value addition, packaging, pricing, and local market linkages. The programme was well organized by VPS staff Mr. Thiyagarajan, ensuring smooth coordination and active participation of the members. The training helped participants enhance their skills, improve income-generating opportunities, and strengthen sustainable livelihoods at the community level. Vasantham Pengal Sangam continues to support women’s economic empowerment through skill development and market-oriented trainings.

The Board Meeting and Staff Planning & Evaluation Meeting

The Board Meeting and Staff Planning & Evaluation Meeting of Vasantham Pengal Sangam was conducted successfully. The meeting began with a welcome address by President Ms. Thenmolzhi. The Annual Report was presented by Secretary Ms. S. Padma, highlighting activities and achievements. The Audit Report was submitted by Treasurer Ms. R. Kanjana and discussed by the members. The meeting concluded with planning, evaluation, and decisions for effective implementation of future programmes.

Sponsored and implemented a Disability Children Nutrition Support Programme

Date: 21.10.2025 Location: Poonampalayam Village Vasantham Pengal Sangam successfully sponsored and implemented a Disability Children Nutrition Support Programme on 21 October 2025 at Poonampalayam Village. The programme aimed to improve the nutritional health of children with disabilities by providing raw nutritious food materials, including Health mix, nuts, and cereals, to support their physical growth and overall well-being. This meaningful initiative was carried out with the generous support of the Shamdasani Foundation, Hong Kong, whose contribution helped ensure that nutritious food reached children in need. Community members and parents appreciated the support, and the programme contributed positively toward improving awareness about the importance of nutrition for children with disabilities. Vasantham Pengal Sangam continues its commitment to inclusive development, child welfare, and disability empowerment through such community-based interventions.

HIV/AIDS Awareness Training Programme on December 1 at Ayyampalayam Panchayat

Vasantham Pengal Sangam successfully conducted an HIV/AIDS Awareness Training Programme on December 1 at Ayyampalayam Panchayat. The programme was organized to create awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, symptoms, treatment, and to reduce stigma in the community. As part of the awareness initiative, IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials were distributed to the participants to strengthen understanding and promote safe health practices. The programme was graced by Chief Guest Thiru Ramalingam Anna, Trade Union President, who emphasized the importance of awareness, early testing, and social responsibility in preventing HIV/AIDS. VPS staff Mr. Thiyagarajan actively supported the programme and shared valuable inputs with the participants. The programme was led by Ms. S. Padma, Director, Vasantham Pengal Sangam, who highlighted the organization’s commitment to community health, women’s empowerment, and inclusive development. The awareness session received positive participation from community members and contributed to improved knowledge and confidence regarding HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
