Vasantham Pengal Sangam (VPS) organized an Aari Embroidery Skill Training Program from 26 February to 3 March 2026 to support women in developing livelihood skills. A total of 25 women participated in the training and successfully completed the program.
During the training, the participants learned Aari embroidery techniques used in blouse designing. By the end of the program, each woman was able to complete a blouse with Aari embroidery work, gaining practical skills that can help them start small income-generating activities from home.
The training was conducted by Trainer Anuratha, who provided hands-on guidance and practical demonstrations throughout the program. After successfully completing the training, certificates were distributed to all 25 participants to recognize their achievement.
This training program was made possible with the generous support of the Women First International Fund, which aims to strengthen women’s economic empowerment and skill development.
Through this initiative, Vasantham Pengal Sangam continues to support women in building sustainable livelihoods and improving their economic independence
